Here's the Aparicio. This is his first card, issued 3 years before his debut in the Majors in 1956. An auction house recently sold a 1948-49 set that they "accidentally" claimed contained Aparicio's "true rookie card." Of course, it wouldn't have taken much detective work to figure out that he was 14 years old at the time. The Aparicio in that set is, of course, his father who is said to have been every bit the player his HOFer son would later become. He has cards that date as early as 1931.
