My brother and I opened a Polar Bear pack in 1995. The card inside was Maloney I believe, and it was hardly in Ex/Mt condition. The card was snuggly laying right against the plug of raw tobacco, and I have been told that that was the way all Polar Bear cards were packed. This card was stained pretty badly, and the corners of the card were not that sharp. I sold the card , but the new owner eventually had it graded at a 4 by PSA.
The antique shops where I liv e often get Piedmont and Old Mill unopened packs , and sell them for around $200. The shop owners that know about Ebay usually get twice or three times that much from what they have told me in the past.
there is a guy that used to set up tables at a local show, and he had several unopened packs and tins of Sweet Caporal. he is also the only person I know who owned an unopened packs of Lenox
