Steve M.While I believe any number of us could suggest "good" sellers you may be better served by following some of these general rules as regards "bad" or "suspicious" sellers:
1. Feedback. Low.... bad; high...., generally good;
2. Pictures. Fuzzy, digital, small....bad; Hi res scans, front and back....good;
3. Private Auctions: bad;
4. Provenance. "Found card under a tire rim", "Found card in Grandpa's attic"; "Have had card in family since 1909", all bad;
5. Excuse for selling. "baby needs new shoes", "wife pregnant again with eighth child", "need an operation"....all bad;
6 Disclaimer of knowledge. Any statement that purports to convey the impression that the seller has absolutely no knowledge of cards or what he/she is selling....bad;
7. Seller's stock in trade. What like kind material has he/she been selling? Beanie Babies, car parts, used CD's, office supplies....all bad;
8. Money back Guarantee. If not....bad; if so....good;
9. Raw vs. graded. You always run a risk no matter how comfortable you are with the seller, after reviewing each of the foregoing, that the card is altered, trimmed or not as represented.
