What David says is correct. Rose was banned not for being a lowlife but for breaking the most sacred of baseball rules. As for his apology, who can believe a word the guy says? Everything about him is calculated for a reason... In a sidenote, I'm man enough to admit that I paid $400 or so for an "I'm sorry" personally inscribed ball from him. After he refused to sign "Dear A. Bartlett" preceding the "I'm sorry I bet on baseball", he did sign "Dear Jesus."
