Default Philly Show

Posted By: judson hamlin

I thought the parking lot was fairly empty when I got there at 5, but the crowd was better, but not great, by the time I left at 745. Picked up some T205's, 35 Goudeys, an E95 Merkle and a E93 Leach, among others. Prices went from fair to what the hell? One dealer who I won't name was trying to sell vge T205 commons in the 150-200 range (raw). His T206 prices were equally egregious, which was a shame, since he had many rare backs for sale.
Spoke with Ted Z and a few of the other long-time dealers- which is always a nice part of the trip.
Lots of post-war, lots of shiny stuff and memorabilia/ephemera dealers, but still more pre-war dealers in one spot other than the National.
One touch which I thought was nice was having David Grimes' table space left empty with a note mourning his passage and a flower on the table.
