Peter, what does being "golden boy" pay? I'm just curious: do "golden boys" just hang out and be "golden boys" the rest of their lives or do they try to get the best managing job in baseball?

Mattingly is ill-prepared for the job; I'd be shocked if it was even offered to him. Girardi is the most common-sensical choice.
