Default Yikes....I am breaking my own rules....BST

Posted By: leon

Hey Folks,
First of all there is precedence for this type of post on the main forum. I have always said if someone is selling off their collection, or there is a very significant situation, then the main board is ok. I am NOT selling anything in particular on this page but am posting about how I am going to do it. After way too much thought on how to sell the rest of my 19th Century collection (I have sold the FBH Kelly, H812 Welch, and N175 McCarthy)I think I am going to offer the rest, for the most part, piece by piece on the Buy/Sell/Trade pages of Net54. One thing I don't care for, though it's absolutely ok to do, is to post a card there and say only "best offer". To me that doesn't really give an idea of what to shoot for so I rarely participate in those sales. I am going to ask a little bit of a high retail price from where I think they would sell for in auction and then take a best acceptable offer after that. That way if someone wants to buy a card there is a price next to it....If they want to haggle then we can do that too. I am not sure how I can be more fair. To all interested you might look at our BST page in the coming weeks. I am going to start with the N167 of Ewing today......Thanks again for all of the warm and kind emails regarding selling my 19th century collection. It's very hard to do but is the right thing for my family. For the record NONE of my 20th century stuff is for sale. As always you can look at my personal site to see what I will be selling.....it will be the 19th Century part of my personal collection. I am going to keep one card and it will be either the Peck and Snyder or the K-bats Phili card...those will probably be the last 2 to be sold as I am not sure yet which one I am going to keep.....best regards

ps...the other reason I am posting here is I want to make sure everyone that has inquired has a chance at the cards...
