Way down the list, tied with Dave Stieb and Mike Mussina, at 122, is Babe Ruth. I'd have thought Ruth would have been in the top ten after all I read about how he was the greatest ballplayer in that thread with which I stirred folks up, a few weeks ago. Good old Ed Reulbach had a 123 rating, higher than the Babe's ERA+.
I don't think ERA+ is the best way to sort out the top 5 pitchers of all time.
