Mike CI don't think the economy has much to do with today's card prices. The items that I have been watching keep going up.
I think the bigger issue is the lack of product on Ebay as everything appears to be moving to Buy It Now. Personally, I joined VCP two months ago (I just started in the hobby again in the beginning of the year) and haven't overpaid through BIN. Also, auction houses seem to have more product. It's just a really good tool.
Regardless of that, people will pay for something that they want.
Is $180 too much? Not for me because I probably saved that and then some.
And I don't drink coffee!
