I know most on here don't have a problm doing this, and I have even done it on occasion. However, It is my opinion (I repeat, MY opinion) that it is kinda weak to do it when an auction already has a bid on it, it is something that I personally will not do. In other words, once someone else has placed one bid I do kinda have a problem with it.

Ebay is what it is, and buyers will always go to just about any lengths to get what they want, and it will get cut-throat at times, but I do believe it is one of the things that gives not just our hobby but all collectors a black eye to the general population.
