Default E- Card Pricing

Posted By: Frank Wakefield

The Standard Catalog is not too far off in the lower 2 prices, in my estimation.

Their NM price is way short. The pop reports aren't right, cards are broken out. Some are regraded. Some guys chase high grade cards to get their names in the listings, they're not exactly collecting cards in doing that, but buying recognition. So for that reason I think the reports are unrealistically high for a NM card's true value.

Still, it depends on which E cards you're talking about. There aren't any collectors attempting to complete a NM slabbed set of all of the ZeeNuts. E90-1s mostly went straight into the hands of a caramel chewing kid. The cards got dirty, folded, jammed into a pocket... Almost all of them went through kiddyhell. So I do think that the Standard Catalog should have a greater than normal differential between EX and NM.
