Shane -- the card that I referred to as "too extensive" to be holdered was totally pristine. My guess is that the corners were rebuilt, among many other things. It doesn't sound to me like you are looking to do something like that, but I mentioned it just in case. Good luck to you and "it" no matter what you decide to do. If you go for it I'd be interested to see an "after" scan.
