When I was a kid, my family occasionally played Trivial Pursuit. One question was for the name of the fireman in Leave It to Beaver. It was for a pie piece, I drew a blank, and my dad was pretty disappointed. (It was a heated game.)
These days I can't hear the name Gus without thinking about "Gruff but lovable Gus" - a character from the NBC days of David Letterman.
