canada postal system does suck (alot), but to be fair they've been better lately than a couple years back. packages are getting there in about 5-6 business days now consistently. for that matter usps has also been great, first class packages taking only 2 days going from east coast to west vice-versa.
there are potential scammers anywhere. if it doesn't feel right just cancel the deal or send with tracking.
