Everyone wants every stray mark to be 'wet sheet transfer', and I've yet to discern the magic of it. I don't think either of the cards are wet sheet transfers. An SC card with an overprint bar got damp while pressed down on those cards, long after they left the printer's.

Frank, I think you nailed it. I recently acquired two T206's with what looked like scrapbook residue glued to the front. After soaking, the crud came off, but left the remnants of a Sweet Cap back, clearly from another card being stuck to it. The Sweet Cap 'ghost' is now there forever.
