Frank, I think you nailed it. I recently acquired two T206's with what looked like scrapbook residue glued to the front. After soaking, the crud came off, but left the remnants of a Sweet Cap back, clearly from another card being stuck to it. The Sweet Cap 'ghost' is now there forever.
