have cracked around 100 pre-war slabs - mostly T206s, T205s, E121s etc that I've put into binder pages. Most expensive probably in the $500 area, though on average the value is around $30 per card. Most were lower grade anyway and I've kept the slips just in case.

My 1914 CJs are both raw and slabbed, however I purchased them. And any Lionel Carter cards I've purchased remain in their slabs for the neat "provenance" factor.
