It was 40 years ago yesterday that the longest game in professional baseball started when the AAA Rochester Red Wings played the Pawtucket Paw Sox at McCoy Stadium.....The two teams played 32 innings until early Sunday morning before the game game was finally suspended and then resumed in June, when it lasted only one more inning with Pawtucket winning 3-2.

Here is a 1981 Red Wings program signed by about 12-13 of the players including a 19 year old Cal Ripken Jr.:
