Thank you, Dale, John, and Bob. What a fun set to collect. Loved reading the card backs of players I wasn’t overly familiar with. How about the back of the Eddie Waitkus card beginning “shot by a crazed girl…”! They don’t write baseball card bios like that anymore.
As far as the high numbers, I already have Jackie, Mathews, Pee Wee Reese, and Campanella so I know I’m off to a good start, I just don’t see how I ever get a Mantle. But we’ll see where the path takes me.
