I was basing my assumption on the back stamp. The Pavelle Brothers became Paterson-Pavelle in 1963. And started selling at home color photo kits. The fact it is on Pavelle Brothers Paper Likely Dates it prior to the company merging. Also the kits supplied a more standard paper with a white border. The Vietnam war started for America in 1964. Though who knows, It could have been taken anytime in between and not be during war time at all.

I’ve just contacted a UK photo expert to get some better insight.

Also I posted a few Kodachrome (color) Snaps of two Cardinals further back in the thread that date from 1948! The exact same wallet size print style as this young soldier. Along with the aagpbl color one that Chris is Referring to.
