I don't know if schools still participate.
The
Babe Ruth Foundation Sportsmanship Award was started by Ruth for underprivileged children who exhibited true sportsmanship during the school year.
I believe it was started around 1947 or so?
I picked up an unused plaque and award separately on eBay.
I also have an award given to a student - not sure where it is.
The plaque was made by Balfour (about 10x16") - I saw a pic where the plaque was placed with other school awards.
There are some pics on the net with students but no info.
