From 1913-1916, Joe Boehling started 100 games as a lefthanded part of a Washington Senators staff that included Walter Johnson.
Then, at the end of his career in 1920, he started 2 games for the Cleveland team that won the World Series, despite losing Ray Chapman to the only fatal HBP in MLB history.
Finally, on the day after Pearl Harbor in 1941, he died from injuries sustained as the result of a fall.
