1) It is still the show that attracts the best merchandise. While dealers may not always save up material for the show they way they used to, many dealers still bring many great items for sale. Many dealers use this as their ONLY show for the year.
2) The social aspect of the show. It was mentioned in the beginner's guide thread that many members of the board used Scott Brockleman's table (Leon is there as well) as a social hangout, and place to rest. In addition, it's a great place to meet other members of this board and other hobbyists. The late nights in the bar hanging out are fun as well. Some people drink alcohol, people like me drink diet cokes but the fun is the schmoozing.
3) There is still something to be said for face to face communications. I miss the days of going to shows to learn the latest trends, and this show keeps everyone in the loop. No show in the country has as many dealers as the National.
