MVSNYCthis topic is very near & dear to me...i have been collecting T206's for about 15 years now...and i am constantly wrestling with the idea of whether or not to build the monster in low grade (quantity) OR just keep a hand-ful of very high grade select cards (quality).
i started collecting "beaters" in the early 1990's, and built-up a collection of over 200 different cards, rare backs, HOFers, SLers, variations, etc, then last year i decided to sell almost all of my lower grade cards (which was probably 90% of what i had), and take that money and buy a dozen or so, very high-end cards...so today i have several PSA 9's & 8's & all of the rare backs still. BUT, i am always toying with te idea of going in reverse and selling the high grade pieces, in order to "get back on track" and chase the monster in lower grade...
