Now that you explained what you stated, I must admit that I misconstrued
your comments. However, you took two famous and separate quotes from two
famous (but opposing) men and ran them together. You didn't even enclose
their words with quotation marks. And, you should've ascribed each quote
to the person who said it. How do you expect the reader not to misconstrue
your comments.

You are the lawyer, I would expect clearer and concise language from you.
Anyway, please accept my apology.
