Joe Krakauskas was of Lithuanian descent, a Canadian by birth, and a lefthanded pitcher for seven seasons in MLB.

In 1940, his Play Ball baseball card showcased his status as a Washington Senator and promoted the exciting, soon to be available, Superman card gum. Superman is believed to be ambidextrous.

Joe is best remembered today as the guy who didn't end DiMaggio's streak -- he gave up hit number 56.
