Simple research shows that James J. Splaine passed away in 1969 and is buried in Long Island National Cemetery, Farmingdale NY.
I thought I would try to find a relative that I could return it to.
No idea how it made its way down here to South Georgia - where I bought it.
Here is what I know:

James J Splaine
06/29/1902 - 03/14/1969
US Coast Guard
Lt.
Korean War
Buried in section 2D Site 6193

I know it is a long shot, but thought I'd give it a try.
Thought a family member would like to have it.

Thanks.
I'm not sure if you are a Face Book user, Jimmy, but I found this which might be of some help?
Good Luck.
