Larry,

All of the above are incorrect. What is this? According to my estimates of length (9 ft) and width (3ft), what you have is a tobacco card display slab. The slab will accommodate slightly more than 1000 raw T cards without overlap. Conservation and/or alteration of the 1000+ cards is not needed.

Alternatively some might argue that this is an early Topps display slab, designed especially for the 407 card 1952 Topps Set. I’m not sure but there may have been a contest in 1952 to award the slab.to the collector who submitted the most wrappers. I don’t believe shipping was included in the offer, but local pickup was offered as an option.
