According to the CDC estimates, an average of 36,000 Americans died because of the flu for the ten years through the 2020 flu season. If an average of 400 people a day were to die during the year, that comes out to 146,000. Thankfully much better than 400,000+ a year as in the first 24 months of Covid, but I would think still a real concern.
I would much rather have this be my untimely end.
