RhysI just found 2 tickets to the 1902 College Basketball Championship Game between Williams and Amherst along with all sorts of newspaper articles that went with it describing it as the championship game etc. Does anyone know anything about early college basketball tickets that can tell me if this was the first college championship game or if there were such games before 1902? I recall seeing a 1905 college basketball championship ticket for Williams v. Dartmouth once, but this is the earliest I have ever seen by three years and since Basketball was invented in the mid-1890's, 1902 seems really old for the sport. Any help would be appreciated.
