Finally picked up a Gavvy Cravath autograph and put it on the
CooperstownExpert.com website. The Deadball Era's home run king, Cravath led the league in homers six times and finished third twice.
When Cravath retired from baseball he became a judge and served Laguna Beach for 36 years. He led quite a life.
I'd put him in a group with
baseball's first 30-homer/30-steal guy Ken Williams,
slugger Cy Williams, and
Indian Bob Johnson as guys who had intriguing careers but fall short of Cooperstown.
If you have time,
check out my website. It has a page for
every Hall of Famer, and
pages for almost another 300 guys not in the Hall.
Stay healthy everyone!
