I'll nominate pitcher Dave Johnson who was pressed into service after Pete Harnisch stepped on a rusty nail the night before a key start in Toronto by pitching seven strong innings & leaving the game with a 3-1 lead in the 8th inning.

Here is the plate umpire's lineup card from that memorable game as well as a display of the '89 Why Not? season located in the Orioles executive offices in 2019...The Orioles borrowed it and placed it inside the case...
