Joe_G.Yep, your example was inserted in a pack of 1888 Old Judge cigarettes together with a coupon/slip/certificate. It would take 25 coupons before you could request an Old Judge cabinet card of the player you desire (from the list). The metamorphic cards actually suggest it initially took 30 coupons, then changed to 25 later in the year. By 1889, it only took 20 coupons.
There are three different lists, two in 1888 (differ in size and teams covered) and one in 1889. The 1889 lists seem to be most common.
The last list to auction on eBay was in good condition and fetched around $300. There is an 1889 example that has been offered several times with a four digit "Buy it Now" but no takers.
