I think, without question, Graig is the best artist of this genre, EVER! No artist that I have come across has captured the essence the way he does.

Perez does a decent job with the likenesses, but his watercolors have no depth and life to them. IMHO.

Neiman has great painting style, very colorful and vibrant, but all the subjects feel the same to me. Jordan and Ruth have the same feel to them. Same color palette and style.

Simon, Miller, and many other contemporary guys do nice jobs on likenesses, but, I just don't feel that depth of emotion, that I do with Graig's work.

The best way I can describe Graig's work is the he takes a flat 2 dimensional image and breathes life into them. Even with color images, like the Aaron the last winner had done. It is an incredible image to start with and yet somehow, he waved his magic brushes and Hank came alive on the canvas.

OK. Now that I am done waxing poetic about his talent, I convinced myself to buy 2 more entries. That will bring me to seven total.
I'll send payment later tonight.

Remember, no one tells anyone's wife. Right?

Edit:
Like Scott, I had one done, but a 16x20 of Gehrig, of course.
I can't wait to pick out my subject for the next one.
