Clyde Lovellette and Bob Kurland in Helsinki for the 1952 Olympics. The athlete between them is Luis Omedes of Spain. Youngest competitor at those games at 12½. He was the cox for the rowing 4's w/cox. He would compete in Luge at the 1968 Olympics. His father rowed in the 1924 Games and his brother rowed single scull in 1948 and 1952.
Hell, they were all kids, to me now. Clyde was 23, Kurland 27.
