I've held a stack of handwritten Joe Kelley letters two inches thick. They'll never see the light of day, though. They're in Cooperstown. You think that sounds silly? I also examined a stack of Ned Hanlon letters that rivaled the thickness of a fairly large city's white pages.

Those prices feel absurd.

Collins is admittedly quite rare. Although not the easiest, Kelley seems common by comparison. (And I'm just considering what is known to exist in collectors' hands, not anything in institutions.)
