Everybody knows that on the last day of the National, dealers are more willing to give discounts just because it's a hassle to bring three-quarters of your inventory home.

This is not correct. There are very few discounts of any kind to be found on the last day. Dealers are rarely willing now to part with inventory because practically everything is too valuable and likely to go up in the short term. Not to mention that they can sell it the next day on other venues.

The best day to be at the show is Thursday - it only gets harder after that. I've found that one of the best sources for cards is other buyers. It helps to ask.

Edited to add: No one cares about "The Card" and no one ever will.
