What a great tribute to an old ballplayer! As far as I'm concerned the hours you put in to creating this website were all worth it for this baseball fan. I didn't know much about Harry Wolter; it was very interesting to read about him and to see his old cards, especially those neat Zeenuts. The music, too, was spot-on. Who amongst us doesn't get all gooey listening to Ashokan Farewell? Well done!

My father was at Stanford before the war; I scanned this photo from his 1940 yearbook. You are welcome to use it if you wish.



I am one of the resident Net54 Grammar Gestapo Guys. Nothing glaring popped out so no need worry. One quibble though . . you should omit the quotes around Meiggs in your title. One would think that was his nickname rather than his middle name. And a question . . who does Take Me Out to the Ballgame on your site? Probably should know but can't come up with the singer's name.
