Well, since I don't have anything new, to speak of, to ad to the "new acquisitions" thread, here are some things from my collection I like. Not the most expensive items, but a little off the beaten path.

Purple and blue sky versions of 1963 Johnny Unitas. 63's are by far my favorite football set from the 1960's.


1959 Bell Brand Rams still sealed in cellophane. For the Rams collectors, like myself, the BB's are the holy grail to collect. Interestingly, even as expensive as they tend to get I still run across dealers, even ones who specialize in vintage cards, who have no idea of their existence.



Finally, when you think about football matchcovers, the first thing that comes to mind are either the Diamond Match covers from the 1930's, or the Redskins covers from the 1940's-60's. I found these 2 1950 Lions covers on ebay a number of years ago and didn't realize that they represent a set of 2, at lest that is what I have been told. If others exist I'd love to know.
