I am usually partial to batting poses of hitters, but this fielding pose of Ruth is just perfect to me. The photographer caught him in a classic stance that wonderfully captures Ruth in his earliest days with the Yankees.
The Conlon batting pose is obviously a classic, but I have always thought that it looked too posed to me and I think that there are better batting images of Ruth that exist.
