If an item is altered in a significant way (such as, for example,to signifiantly effect the value) and the alteration is not clearly expressed in description, the item is a fake.

In some cases, significant alteration can legitimately be called forgery.

As I have mentioned before, I have never seen the card in person and thus cannot offer an opinion as to whether or not it has been altered. However, if it has been altered, it is most definately a fake.
