Default A Poor Man's "Bid"

Posted By: Matt

This is an interesting issue - on the one side I certainly can agree with the last several posters who point out this draws extra attention to a listing and might be a conflict of interest. However, I think it's helpful to have a place to discuss ongoing listings - both on ebay and through the other auction houses. I think the benefits could be bringing attention to an interesting listing (like the "Bid") to those who don't hawkishly watch ebay or discussing the merits of a lot (like the "Game Used" bat thread posted last week).
The existing ebay forum on the BST is really for promotion by a seller, not discussion by potential bidders.
Perhaps we could agree with a standard Title prefix (my half-baked suggestion; "Live-Auction:") that would easily allow those who feel such posts should be ignored to do so. That way we could maintain the value of such discussions while those who feel "tricked" into looking at what may be advertising don't even open the thread.

Thoughts?
