Default Some help identifying a Lou Gehrig Type 1 photo

I am doing some research on a bunch of mostly type 1 photos and am a little stumped with this one. Names written in pencil on the reverse are Weintraub (Phil?), Gehrig, Lazzeri. Lazzeri and Weintraub are both wearing Dodger uniforms. Lazzeri signed with the Dodgers in 1939 and was released on May 14th of the same year. Gehrig only played 8 games in 1939 - his last on April 30th. I could find no record of Weintraub signing with or playing for the Dodgers. Nor could I find record of the Yankees meeting the Dodgers in 1939. Any insight or facts I couldn't find are appreciated. Photo is 4 1/2 X 6 1/4.

I am actively buying and selling vintage sports cards graded and raw. Feedback as a buyer: https://www.net54baseball.com/showthread.php?t=297262

I am accepting select private consignments of quality vintage cards (raw or graded) and collecting "want" lists for higher end ($1K+) vintage cards.
