I'm a 50s collector as well. I don't know why as that's 3 decades before I was even a thought in my parents' mind. The cards of that era are simple and beautiful. Way better than the 90s stuff with all that flair, that I once collected.
For nostalgic reasons I did put together a 1993 topps gold set that was my ultimate goal as a kid.
