so Julie, you are in good company. The Times, stuttering the morning after the Red Sox turn-around, described the Ruth "thing" as the worst "trade" in baseball history. I guess it was a trade for cash. I read the NY Times each morning (it's free on the internet), and throughout the year as the Red Sox repeatedly crawled to within striking distance, only to falter, the NY Times struck out at the team and their fans quite unprofessionally at times, reminding them of where they would inevitably finish the season. So it's good to see that rag eat a little crow.
