Pound for pound the toughest player I’ve ever seen watching hockey for 50, Stan Johnathan. Played for the Bruins in the 70’s and at 5:7 maybe 185 pounds he was like going at it with a fire hydrant. Even his teammate, John Wensink who once challenged the entire Buffalo bench, said “nobody wants any part of Johnathan”. That’s good enough for me. Honorable mention, Philly’s one Dave Schultz.
