When looking at any graded card, I message the seller: "Is the PSA (or SGC, BVG, BGS) holder damaged in any way?"
I've gotten the entire spectrum of answers, from dead silence to detailed explanations. And yes, I've gotten a few nasty replies. It's kind of fascinating to read the answers, at times.
In any event, the answer serves two purposes:
- Gives me an idea of the type of seller I would be dealing with, if I decide to purchase
- Gives me an expanded "item description" - in case an INAD return is in order
