Rob (NYC)I first satisfied my nostalgic side - basically Reggie Jackson in the 1977 World Series and Nolan Ryan. I have a couple post-1980's modern issues of Roger Clemens and Michael Jordan, but those are exceptions. And a few "shiny pennies" of Johan Santana. Okay, they may not be pre-war vintage, but I do/did enjoy watching them play. At least I am done with this phase of my collection.
I am currently working on a 1909-11 T-206 Cardinals team set in affordable grading (VG to EX, w/o the O'Hara - I can't afford it in any condition). I also collect pre-war horse racing tobacco issues. Someday I hope to advance to N172s and N175s.
