I was fortunate enough to win a lot from the 2015 Heritage Auction, even though I never placed a bid.

I was turning 50 right around the time of the auction, and for my birthday, my brother placed the winning bid on a lot of autographed items which included a 1966 Sports Illustrated with Brooks and Frank on the cover for the World Series (which included a note from the person from SI who sent him the magazine), an autographed copy of the Orioles 30th Anniversary program, and a copy of the 1st issue of Sports Illustrated that had been presented to Brooks. It does appear to be an authentic 1st issue and not a copy as it does contain the subscription card, and of course the foldout with 1954 Topps cards.

It was the best birthday gift I have ever received as I was completely blown away by the surprise of receiving some items from Brooks' personal collection. My brother is the greatest!
