Default Question - selling item/ paying with paypal ??

What am I missing here ?

Listed a card for sale - $100

found a buyer

Agreed on price of 100

told him- send me 100 with paypal

noticed I only got " apprx" 95 bucks

contacted him and asked for 5 bucks more

He said he paid 100, but used goods/service /fee so I only get 95

I never had that happen to me before( in many years of buying selling using pay pal ) , and he doesnt think he did anything wrong ??

WTF ??

Unless you had an agreement to pay friends and family or that the $100 was net to you, he probably did not do anything wrong.

If you want a card, you might not get a deal. If you want a deal, you might not get a card.

Correct. He's got return protection in case you stiff him or send a damaged item. If you want all $100, you need to specify friends and family payment in the listing.

^^This^^ or you need to say net to you so the buyer has to pay the regular PP fees.

If you didn't specify the biuyer done nothing wrong. If you specified PPFF I would refund the money and cancel the sale. I know I have done that before when my post clearly said PPFF and they send me regular PP.

Nothing wrong on buyer's part. He paid via G&S. They take out something like 3 percent. Anytime I sell, I know it's on me, as the seller, to pay the fees, and that's what you did by him paying G&S. Plus, he wanted the buyer protection by paying G&S. I'll never, ever, ever understand why anyone would pay F&F unless dealing in person.

It should say in your transaction details, exactly what was sent, and exactly what your fees were.
