The missing red ink cards from the 1980 Topps A* and B* sheets are rarer and lesser known than the ones from the E* and F* sheets. Just like the missing blue cards, the only cards affected were the cards on the top row. The A* and B* sheets were originally printed together on one very large 264 card sheet before being cut in half to make two 132 card sheets. I don't know what caused this printing flaw but I don't believe it was running out of red ink each time. The only cards on the A* sheet that I know that are affected are Alan Trammell yellow name, Jim Palmer red missing in position banner, on the B* sheet Manny Sanguillen missing red in position banner and border line, Joe Nolan missing red in position banner, Tom Donohue missing red in position banner and border line, Wayne Garland missing red in position banner, Mike Parrott missing red in border line (don't have), John Ellis missing red in position banner, Mike Squires missing red in position banner, Eric Soderholm missing red in position banner, John Lowenstein missing red in position banner, Marty Pattin yellow name and cap discolored, Dick Davis missing red in border line and cap discolored. There are possibly more from the A* sheet but I have never seen them.
